Earbud holder
My task for the 3D printing assignment was to design and create an object that successfully organizes a set of earbuds and cord. I began by researching different shapes that would successfully do this. I looked at examples to get an idea of what I wanted and what I didn't want in my design. I recorded my planning in my designers notebook, which included taking measurements of my earbuds.
After I knew the general outline of my earbud holder, I designed it in Inventor and used the dimensions that I calculated with my measurements. I followed the simple steps of creating a 3D object that I outline on my Inventor page. This means I sketch, dimension, and then extrude.

what i learned
During this rotation I learned a lot about the importance of planning and prep work. I spent a lot of time taking measurements and sketching out my design in my designer's notebook before I designed it on Inventor. I had to do more prep work for this rotation than the other rotations to ensure everything was the right size and shape. This is the second object that I 3D printed, so I strengthened my knowledge on the process of 3D printing.
